In recent years there has been a rush to install Solar Farms in the UK, with some 34 GW of peak capacity in the planning pipeline, with more projects being added every week. To put that in perspective to average consumption of electricity from the grid is in the range 30 - 50 GW depending on the time of day and year.
There is now a growing concern about this unregulated rush to Solar and the potential impacts, especially those that are taking productive agricultural land out of production.
